Website measurement / An introduction
Sitelytics provides a website pixel that helps site operators understand visits and interactions on the pages where they install it.
01 / From page to event
The website operator chooses where the pixel runs and which events to enable.
The operator installs the Sitelytics script on selected pages. The script runs when those pages load.
A page view or enabled interaction sends details about the event and visit to a measurement endpoint.
The operator can use events to measure engagement and learn about visits to its site.
02 / The information
The data varies by installation. These are examples of information a website pixel or ad impression beacon can process when the relevant features are enabled.
Page URLs, referrers, timestamps, page titles, clicks, downloads, and other configured interactions.
If form tracking is enabled, submitted field names and values may be included. Some sensitive fields are masked by the script, but operators should review what their forms send.
Browser, device, and network information, along with identifiers that may be used to recognize a visitor or an organization. Some installations may use cookies or partner identifier sync.
An image beacon in an ad placement can record that an ad was served, with campaign or creative references and request details. It is separate from the website script.
03 / For visitors
The website where you encountered the pixel controls its installation. Its privacy notice should explain why it uses measurement technology, what data it collects, and how to exercise applicable privacy choices.
For questions or requests about activity on a particular website, contact that website's operator. Settings and consent handling vary by installation.
This informational page does not run the Sitelytics pixel, set analytics cookies, or request personal information from you.
